SBK Women University (SBKWU)
SBK Women University (SBKWU) and other female colleagues from other partner institutions, like the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water & Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), will also actively participate in this project for the annual training workshops, forums, and field courses.
Being a partner with NC State, three women universities of LCWU, FJWU, and SBKWU, will form a Pakistani Women University Climate Change Consortium (PWUCCC). Women faculty and students from this consortium will not only actively learn from our curriculum development, field courses, and Climate Change certification programs but also have chances to work together with MEAS faculty and students, and colleagues from the Institute in the fields and labs to exchange knowledge, collect climate and coastal environmental change data, analyze the data, and prepare reports and publications.
Furthermore, this partnership will provide an excellent opportunity for us to develop some more specific climate and environmental change related research projects in the future, e.g., including the impacts of global warming, glacier melting, flooding and water resource management, the impact of the sea-level rise on the Pakistan coasts, etc.
