We would like to invite you to register for the upcoming PAUSE (Pakistan and United States Environmentalists) Webinar series and encourage you to share this invitation with others who may be interested.

Climate change brings long-term variations in temperature and weather patterns. Ongoing climate change is primarily caused by the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and natural gas), which produces greenhouse gases that trap heat, increase average temperatures, and alter global climate. Higher temperatures, severe storms, increased drought, warming/rising ocean, melting of glaciers, floods, loss of species, food insecurity, health risks, poverty, and displacement are some of the effects of climate change.

The Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at North Carolina State University (NCSU), Fatima Jinnah Women University, Lahore College for Women University, Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS), Bahria University Karachi and Sardar Bahadur Khan university for women are pleased to be hosting the PAUSE Webinar series. The series will feature scientists from across the US and Pakistan speaking about the environment and climate change. Seminars will be held every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 8am US EST/6pm Pakistan as well as recorded for asynchronous viewing. The webinar is open to students, researchers, and others interested in current research on the environment and climate change.
