Title: | Using Nano to combat Macros of the Climate Change: Exploring Endless Opportunities of Nanotechnology |
Abstract: | The world of Nanotechnology is a crazy cool one. Aforementioned is just some of the potential that currently designed advanced nanomaterials hold for solving our climate crisis. My concern is to drive the attention towards sustainable nanofabrication approach of advanced materials which can help to combat and possibly stop climate change. I will be summarizing some nanostructured materials which have worked the best in mitigating climate change crises. Nano thin films are a good short-term way of reducing emissions and maximizing clean energy production. Such thin films possess variety of environmental applications ranging from H2 production via water-splitting, to sustainable water purification set-ups, and then to fire-retardant clothing, etc. Appealing as tunable nanohybrids, the core composition of such thin films can be systematically varied without altering their inherent structure. |
